The Park Vista Colorguard is comprised of some of the most dedicated and talented students in the Park Vista band program.

These students are members of the Park Vista Performers as dancers, flags, rifles, and sabres. During the second semester they are involved in one of the two Park Vista Winter Guards.

They are yearly finalists at the state level and have won numerous first place trophies over the years. The Park Vista Indoor Percussion ensemble is a competitive marching group featuring a drum line, front ensemble and visual performers. Similar to the fall marching band season, Indoor Percussion develops a thematic show and participates in a wide variety of competitions.

This group is the youngest of Park Vista's performance ensembles, but finished an impressive second place at the state championship. Membership in this group is by audition, drawing from both percussion and wind musicians in the marching band, giving students the opportunity to transition to new instruments and performance opportunities during the second semester.

The group has grown quickly in size and quality in its five seasons and its trajectory is anticipated to continue to ascend. Leadership development is an important part of the Park Vista Band Program. We believe that through our program students learn leadership skills that will help them be successful throughout their lives.

Dedication, integrity, and the ability to inspire others, through their actions, is the hallmark of a leader. Our student leaders work to support all band members in their quest for excellence. Participation in band leadership is not a right, it is a privilege, and it is not for everyone!. Leadership candidates must show through their actions that they are dedicated to service and have the ability to communicate, inspire, motivate, and encourage all members of the band.
